How much does a move cost?
Every move is different. We provide a free, job-specific quote based on what needs to be moved, your locations, stairs or access conditions, and any other details you share.
What information should I send for a moving quote?
Text us your pickup and drop-off locations, preferred date, approximate inventory, and photos of your furniture and other items. Please mention stairs, elevators, long carries, and unusually heavy pieces.
Do you handle apartment and house moves?
We help customers with residential moves in the Chicagoland area. Tell us about the size of your home and access at both locations so we can discuss the scope of your move.
Do you provide loading and unloading help?
Tell us whether you need loading, unloading, transportation, or a combination. We can discuss the work you need and confirm what is included in your quote.
Can you move large or heavy items?
Send us photos and approximate measurements of any oversized or unusually heavy items, plus pictures of stairs and doorways. We’ll review the details and let you know whether we can take on the job.
Do you offer last-minute or weekend moves?
Availability depends on our current schedule. Call or text Kevin or Ryan with your date, locations, and what needs to be moved, and we’ll let you know what is possible.
Do you offer long-distance moves?
We are based in La Grange and primarily serve greater Chicagoland. For a move outside the area, send your pickup and destination locations so we can discuss availability and provide a quote if it is a fit.
How can I prepare for moving day?
Have your items packed or clearly identify anything that needs special handling, label boxes where practical, and make sure access to doors, elevators, and parking is arranged. Let us know about fragile or unusually heavy items ahead of time.
Junk removal questions
How much does junk removal cost?
Junk removal is priced by the job. Text us photos of what you need removed and its location, and let us know about stairs, tight access, or especially heavy items so we can prepare your free quote.
What items can you remove?
We can discuss furniture, appliances, household clutter, and cleanouts. Send photos and a description first; acceptance depends on the item, accessibility, and disposal requirements.
Do I need to move items outside first?
Not necessarily. Tell us where the items are located and send photos of the access route. We’ll confirm what is included when we quote your job.
Can you remove an entire room or garage of unwanted items?
For larger cleanouts, send photos from several angles and let us know what stays versus what goes. We’ll review the scope and provide a job-specific quote.
Can you remove hazardous materials or chemicals?
Please identify any paint, chemicals, fuel, or other potentially hazardous materials before the job. Some items require specialized handling and may not be accepted; we’ll confirm what we can take.
Where do the removed items go?
Disposal depends on the type of material and available local facilities. If you have items you want donated or recycled, please mention that when requesting your quote so we can discuss options.

Green Elephant is based in La Grange, Illinois, and serves the greater Chicagoland area. If your pickup, destination, or junk removal location is farther away, contact us with the details.
How do I schedule a job?
Call or text an owner with your preferred date, location, and project details. We’ll discuss availability and the next steps for your specific job.
